Restored bird’s eye view of Fredericksburg, Virginia seen from the Stafford side of the Rappahannock River, depicting the ruins and destruction in the city during the Civil War, and depicting a devastated landscape and the pontoon bridges used by the Union Army to cross the river. From the original watercolor engraved by Harry Fenn and published in Horace Greeley’s “The American Conflict – A history of the Great Rebellion in the United States of America, 1860-1864”.
